BLOOD SURF is an upcoming feature, written and directed by Nina Ljeti. The film stars Lorelei Linklater, Jasmine Cephas-Jones, Alessandra Balazs, Sasha Melnychuk, and Cory Kennedy. An homage to pulp films of the 70s and 80s, BLOOD SURF tells the story of a young woman who enlists the help of an all-girl bike gang to take down a group of evil surf witches. The film's score was composed by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeah. BLOOD SURF is currently in post-production, with an anticipated release in late 2017.
Based on James Franco's book, Palo Alto, Memoria tells the story of a young man named Ivan Cohen, who is growing up in the suburbs of Northern California. Memoria is a coming-of-age film that tracks Ivan's life from childhood to early adulthood, and raises questions about the memories we choose to keep, and the ones we try desperately to forget.
Memoria is written and directed by Nina Ljeti & Vladimir de Fontenay. It stars James Franco, Thomas Mann, Keith Stanfield, and Sam Dillon. Paul Bernon and Sam Slater produced the film alongside Nicolaas Bertelsen, Sev Ohanian, and Iris Torres.
Memoria had it's World Premiere at the Austin Film Festival in 2015. It was released domestically by Monterray Media in May 2016.

Jeffrey is the first short film written and directed by Nina Ljeti. Jeffrey follows a night in the life of serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer. The film was produced by James Franco and Vince Jolivette, in collaboration with The GIrl's School in New York City. Jeffrey was also screened at the Portland Women's Film Festival.
Birdshit was a multi-media performance piece written by Nina Ljeti and directed by James Franco. The performance was staged at MoMA PS1 and featured performances by Nina Ljeti and Marina Abramovic. The piece included source material from Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, and Allen Ginsberg's Howl. Birdshit explored the presence of hysteria in The Seagull, as well as the presence of hysteria in contemporary works of art.
Kurt is an experimental film created by Nina Ljeti and Adarsha Benjamin, and produced by James Franco. It is an ode to Kurt Cobain, and all that he represents to our generation. Kurt premiered at Miami Art Basel in 2012, and featured a performance by Thurston Moore.
